Benhall Farm is a working farm and is part of the Duchy of Cornwall estate, created in 1337 by Edward III for his son and heir Prince Edward, 25 miles from the Ryder Cup.
A warm welcome awaits you whilst visiting the Ryder Cup Newport 2010 from Carol, Simon, John & Peter at Benhall Farm Bed and Breakfast.
We are a working dairy and arable farm run by Simon and set in glorious Herefordshire countryside just outside Ross-on-Wye on the banks of the River Wye just 35 minutes away from the Ryder Cup venue.
It is a perfect location to enjoy a break from the pressures of everyday urban life and is well situated for touring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Welsh borders & the Malverns. Close by are Goodrich Castle and Symonds Yat Rock.
We offer 4 star silver award bed and breakfast in the delightful Georgian farmhouse (new for 2009 super king four-poster)
We also offer 3 star self catering in both the Granary and Garden cottage (refurbished for 2009).
With our self-catering cottages and bed and breakfast we can accommodate up to 12 people making Benhall farm ideal accommodation for a family gathering or group of friends visiting the Ryder Cup in Newport.
We have three bed and breakfast rooms, all on the first floor. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with en-suite facilities;
One has a super king four poster.
One a king-size double.
One two single beds or these can be joined together for a super king double.
The four poster & double rooms enjoy magnificent views of nearby Ross-on-Wye, the twin /double enjoys views towards the River Wye.
Each bedroom has a colour television, mini fridge (stocked with fresh milk, spring water & homemade biscuits) & tea and coffee making facilities. At the end of the day you may also enjoy the private Guests Lounge which also has a colour television & VCR, music centre and various videos, CD's and tapes to help you relax and unwind. We have a range of books, leaflets & maps on the area, which you are welcome to borrow & we are always happy to advise you on routes to take, or places to visit.
Next morning to set you up nicely for the day ahead you are sure to enjoy a hearty English breakfast made from local produce. Also available are cereals, toast, croissants, preserves, fruit juices, yoghurts & fresh fruit. We are also pleased to cater for any dietary requests and freshly prepared packed lunches are available.
Benhall is a non-smoking & no pets establishment.
