Property Description:
Nantyderry House is a late Georgian property built in the nineteenth century to
a design by the architect Thomas Wyatt. It stands in its own grounds surrounded by beautiful countryside – 13 miles (a twenty minute drive) from the Celtic Manor Hotel and Golf Course.
The amenities nearby include the renowned Foxhunter Restaurant, the Michelin Starred Hardwicke Arms and a little further away the Walnut Tree, all three having the reputation for outstanding food.
Fishing on the River Usk, the Usk Valley Walk,golf at the superb Alice Springs Golf Club, walking in the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains, cycling, rock climbing, mountaineering, riding and sailing are all pursuits available within a few miles of the house.
Retail therapy for the ladies is only a few miles away in Usk where there are a number of restaurants, boutique and gift shops. Further afield Monmouth, Newport, Hereford, Cardiff, Ross-on-Wye and Chepstow all have places to eat, dress and gift shops and many other attractions. There is also relaxation and indulgence on hand in the local hotel and spa.
For culture the Millennium Centre in Cardiff will provide an evening at the opera.There are also a great many interesting museums, important
houses and castles within easy driving distance.
The house sleeps 8/10.Upstairs there are five double bedrooms and bathrooms, all
comfortable and spacious, tastefully decorated and retaining many original features.
Downstairs the house is full of character and history and nicely furnished in keeping with a period house. A large drawing room, billiard room with full-size table, sitting room, dining room and a large reception hall with a particularly attractive main staircase leading to the first floor. There is Sky television and internet access at the house.
Daily housekeeping service including laundry and ironing is available and the use of a car and driver for outings if required. At extra cost dinner can be served in the dining room in the evening and a picnic supplied for luncheon.
The cost of your stay at Nantyderry House of £14000 for seven nights includes accommodation bed and breakfast and a daily drive to and from the golf course.
